Our Hunt reunion was in June this year on the Kaibab mountain. It was so cold at night sleeping in a tent but somehow we survived. It was a lot fun and the kids got so disgustingly dirty. I love my family reunions!

Look at those faces! We couldn't keep them out of the dirt. They pretty much looked like this the entire time.

We do a family raffle every year where each family brings something to put in the raffle. Its to earn money for the family so that we can do reunions every year. All three of my kids got their names drawn out on something.

Cole's Baptism

My sweet, handsome boy. I love you!

Cole was baptized on June 4 2011. This was a big decision for Cole because he was terrified of all the people being there. He knew that he wanted to be baptized but really didn't want to do it in front of people. We explained to him that there had to be a few people there like the Bishop and a member of the primary presidency. After a couple of months talking about it he decided he was ready. We told him that he could invite or not invite anybody he wanted, it was his special day. I think that made it easier for him. He only invited the people that play a big part in his life and that he is most comfortable with. I think we may have hurt a few feelings but everyone just had to understand that this was Cole's day and this is how he was most comfortable. Grandma Carlene gave a talk on the Holy Ghost and Krista Wasden gave a talk on Baptism. Jamie Campbell gave the invocation and Grandma Deb gave the benediction. Carson worked really hard to be able to baptize and confirm Cole. I was so nervous for Carson but he wasn't nervous at all. He did such a wonderful job and the confirmation was amazing. Cole was not scared at all the morning of his baptism and he did wonderfully through the whole thing. I was so extremely proud of my husband for what a great job he did and for my Cole boy for being brave and making this wonderful decision even though he was terrified. I love my family!

Cole got these googly eyes from school and they were playing with them one night. My clown Cole decided to put them in his eyes. It was hilarious! They looked so funny!

My smart, sweet, and gorgeous niece Tayler Anne Honey graduated from Fredonia High School. I seriously cannot believe that she is now in college! She is so smart and has such a great personality that I know she will do good in college and be great at whatever she chooses in life. I love you my little Tate Bug!

Last Day of School 2011

Cole's last day of 2nd grade. He had such a good school year. He loved his teacher Mrs. Decker and he loved it that his best friend Garrett was in his class. I got to help out a couple of times a week in Cole's class this year and it was so much fun being able to get to know all the kids and Mrs Decker better. He had such a fun class. Now we are onto 3rd grade!

Ellie's Kindergarten Graduation

Ellie is officially done with kindergarten and on to the first grade. She looked so cute in her little black graduation cap. Carson was working out of town and wasn't able to be there but Grandma Carlene came and it made her day. She lit up when she saw us sitting there. They sang all the cute little songs that they had learned through out the year and then they got their diplomas. It was a cute program.

Cub Scouts

My little boy is not so little anymore. He is a Cub Scout and loves it! He has already gotten his bobcat badge, fishing and kickball belt loops. He has a ton of fun being in Scouts and he can't wait for the day they get to learn how to build fires and he can bring his pocket knife. He is such a boy!

Ellie's Spring Recital 2011

Ellie and couple of other little girls in her group got moved up to the 7-9 year old class for the spring semester. I was really worried about her being able to keep up because she was only 5 but she did so good! She held her own for sure and was able to do everything the big girls were doing. She got to perform at the Cotton Days festival before her recital.

Spring Soccer 2011

Cole and Ellie both played soccer this year. It was a struggle the first couple of times to get Cole to go but once he got used to it he loved it! He was always excited for soccer practice and the games were always great because his team 'Storm' won every single game. They got first place and each of them got a plaque with their names on it.

Ellie was so excited to play soccer until she figured out what it was going to be like. She hated running around and trying to kick the ball. She went to every practice and played every game without complaining but she couldn't wait for soccer to be over. Her team 'Eclipse' did pretty good. They lost 3 games and got 2nd place!

Ellie's favorite position was defense because she could just stand there and watch the game from a distance. There was a little girl on Ellie's team who was so good and scored most of the goals and she always had the ball down the field by their net.

Easter 2011

Easter was fun for the kids this year. We started off the weekend with an Easter egg hunt put on by Grandma Carlene at Uncle Sam and Aunt B's house. All the eggs were filled with money and then there were candy bars hidden in trees and bushes. The kids made a haul and loved every minute of it!

I didn't take any pictures of the Easter egg hunt Easter morning but the Easter Bunny hid 3 dozen hard boiled eggs in the back yard (which is fully fenced in) and he supposedly hid them fairly easy. Well after the kids searched a while and then Carson and I searched for another hour we only found a dozen and a half. We are not sure what creature came into the the backyard and had a hay day with the eggs, but the kids were not happy. Beside the egg mishap the kids had a blast finding their hidden baskets and playing with their new things.

Ellie lost her first tooth at dance practice. She was so excited because she had been working on it for a while, but it bled really bad so she was really freaked out and wouldn't talk or swallow for the rest of the night. She is my major drama queen for sure!

The funny thing about Ellie losing her bottom teeth is that the hole from where her tooth used to be now lines up with her gap. She looks so cute!

Cole's 8th birthday

My big boy Cole turned 8 on March 26! He had just started soccer so he had to have a soccer party. The only thing he wanted on his soccer cake was for it to say 'Happy Birthday Soccer Star Cole Honey!' I was able to get all of it to fit except the Honey part. I searched the internet for soccer cakes and finally came up with this one after a few hours of baking and decorating. Cole loved his cake! He had so much fun at his party and you can see it all over his face in the pictures that he was having the time of his life. I love my sweet boy who now almost wears the same size of shoe as me:)

Cole's Basketball Camp

For the first time ever, Cole decided he would be brave and do something extracurricular. So we signed him up for a basketball camp. He was so nervous the first day and didn't want to do it but once Carson talked him into getting out on the court there was no turning back. He loved every minute of it! I was so proud of him. He was also the best one in his class. He does so good at everything he puts his mind to.

We had Halloween in our new neighborhood this year. We did the trunk or treat at the church first and man they made a haul. Then we just took them down a couple of streets by our house. They had so much fun and got way to much candy!

Lake Powell 2010

We decided to take a last minute day trip to Lake Powell in October. It was surprisingly warm and the water wasn't too bad either. My kids haven't been to a beach to since Ellie was 19 months old. They loved every minute of it! I just posted a few random pictures that I liked.

Cole's first time Rappelling

Carson somehow talked Cole into going rappelling. I'm still shocked to this day that Cole actually did it. He loved every minute of it too! I was so proud of him when he got to the bottom of the hill. It was slow going but he did such a good job and never once freaked out. We went out to Red Cliffs Recreation Area with Carson's friend Daniel and his family. While Carson and Cole rappelled the girls and I just hung out and took pictures. There was no way I was going to go off backwards down this hill!

Ayzie Baby turns 2!

My sweet miracle baby turned 2 on September 4! Time has gone by way to fast, but she has been so much fun! She makes us laugh by the cute and funny things she says and does. I melt whenever she looks at me with those big hazel eyes. She loves to grab my face with her two little hands and just kiss me over and over again! It is the sweetest thing ever! She has brought so much joy to our family and I can't imagine her not in it. I love you my big 2 year old Ayzie Baby! (she'll always be my baby!)

School Days 2010

This was a big year at our house. Cole started 2nd grade and Ellie started kindergarten! I can't believe that I have 2 kids in school and only 1 at home (well for 4 hours anyway). It has been so weird yet so nice. Since Ellie started kindergarten it was a big day for her so most of the pictures are of Ellie (poor Cole) but I did get one or two of him ;)

In our school the kindergarten kids go the first day of school with a parent for about 30 min just to get to know where everything is. Then the next week they really start school. So Ellie kind of got two first days of school! Here are the pics of her real first day without mommy.

10 Years

June 24 Carson and I celebrated 10 years of being married! I can't believe that it has been that long but in that time we have become a family. I am so happy that I got to marry my best friend. He is one of the funniest people I know and always has me laughing. He is also the best daddy and always willing to help whether it be bath time or homework time I can count on him. I love how he loves me... I can tell by the way he looks at me and talks to me that he is still in love with me after all these years and it's the best feeling in the world. I love you Carson and am so excited to spend many more years with you.

this picture is about 3 years old but it's one of the only good ones I could find of us together. Maybe that should be our goal for the next 10 years.... get more pictures together!

Ellie's 5!

My little Ellie belly turned 5 on June 21st. She is such a sweet, funny, smart, and loving little girl. Ellie had a birthday party at our house this year and invited a couple of friends and cousins. The party was as follows.......

Instead of treat bags, everyone got to paint a pot and then we planted flowers for them to take home. The kids loved it!

Swimming Lessons 2010

Swimming lessons went fabulous this year! Both Cole and Ellie did fantastic and there was never one tear shed or one whine about going! They both did really good jobs too!

Cute Ellie girl learned a lot! she finally got brave this year and decided to put her face in the water! Once she did it that's all she wanted to do the whole time a swimming lessons and in the bathtub at home!

At the beginning it was just her face.

Then came the whole head!

Cole is such an amazing swimmer and he should really be on a swim team but of course refuses to do anything that is a competition. He did so good and kept up really well even though he was in a class older then him. He also learned a lot this year.

1st Grade Program

Cole was so excited for his 1st grade program and had practiced so long and hard for it. His class had to wear green and he was even being picky about what green he wore and I had to buy him a new shirt for the event! The day of I got there extra early so that we could sit in the very front row to take good pictures. The kids all starting coming in, and soon we saw Cole's class.....everyone was there and sitting but I couldn't find Cole! Of course I couldn't find Cole he was hiding behind the risers that all the kids were sitting on! Mrs Anderson his teacher finally found him and he started crying and would not sit with the rest of the kids. Eventually about half way through the program one of the teachers bribed him with 3 toys to sit up on the risers with the rest of the kids. He finally got up there, he never sang, but at least I got a couple of pics. The next day the 1st graders did their program for the rest of the school and that morning Cole woke up and said, "I'm going to sing today!" And guess what? He did it! That kid sang when Carson and I weren't their to watch him! Oh Cole what will I ever do with you!?!

Mini Steps 'Spring 2010'

Ellie was able to do dance again this last spring and of course she loved it! She did so good this time and we were amazed at how much better she got from last time which was only a few months before. She is such a cute girl and we had so much fun watching her dance! Good Job my pretty Ballerina!

The end of April this year we finally got some grass! The kids were sooooo excited and couldn't hardly wait to be able to play on it. Carson and Sam did all the dirty and hard work putting in a new sprinkling system in our lovely lava rock filled back yard! I really wanted to do a ground level trampoline but soon realized that would never ever happen! Carson's dad and brothers and their families came over and helped us lay the sod and then just like that we had a backyard and front yard with grass! Yay!
The yard still needs a ton of work done but I feel it is a never ending project!

Easter 2010

As usual we spent Easter in Fredonia with family. The kids love having their cousins to play with and experience holidays with, so we usual go and let them have Easter together. The kids got to decorate eggs together the night before and then Easter morning they all found their baskets and the eggs that the Easter Bunny had hid. They were very excited and it was so fun to watch Ayzie this year. She knew she was supposed to be finding Easter eggs and she was on the hunt! It was a good Easter.

My big boy Cole turned 7 on March 26! It's crazy that he is already 7! He is such a sweet boy and always willing to help me out with anything I need. He is such a good big brother and loves his sisters to death. I love my Cole boy so much and can't imagine life without him. Happy 7th Birthday Cole!

Back in March the kids got the chance to ride a cute little pony named Cocoa thanks to their Aunt B! They loved every second of it and are begging to ride him again.

All 3 of the kids couldn't get enough of touching and being around poor Cocoa.

So, the kids have been learning about Martin Luther King Jr. in school these last couple of weeks and Cole is now on a first name basis with 'Martin'. He would come home and start talking about Martin this and Martin that and I would have to ask him who Martin was, "you know mom, Martin Luther!" Of course 'Martin'. Anyways, the other night the kids were getting ready for bed and Ellie said, "I had a dream...." trying to tell me about a dream she had when Cole interrupted and said, "Hey! That's what Martin said!" It was hilarious!

Well, if you can call it a ponytail! I was so excited that her hair is finally long enough to put a rubber band in it. I haven't done it again since but she was actually not to terribly bad, I just had her sit on the counter and brush her teeth ( one of her favorite things to do). She didn't mind it being in until that night either. What a cute baby!

Christmas 2009

We stayed home and had Christmas in our new house this year. It was really nice. We just hung out in our jammies for the entire day and let the kids play with their new things. I don't know why we didn't do this before but I think we all enjoyed a calm and relaxing day.

Ellie had her first dance recital and she loved every minute of it. She felt like a princess and honestly thought people didn't recognize her because of her makeup! She did really good and we were so proud of her.

Halloween was a little hectic and crazy this year. We moved out of the town homes earlier that day so we were rushing to get the kids ready for trick or treating later that evening, but we finally made it. Cole and Ayzie were a little cranky from the day but Ellie was more than ready to get some candy! They had a pretty good time.

We bought a house!

After 9 years of marriage and 3 kids later we finally bought a house! We are so excited to be homeowners and we don't know what we are going to do with all the space and a big backyard for the kids to play in! Right now we are in the process of cleaning it. It never seems disgusting until you actually get to start scrubbing things and then it's like holy crap did these people ever clean!?! With the help of my sweet friend Kacie we are gradually getting it done. Thanks Kac, for helping me out, I couldn't do it alone! I will post different pics when we are all in.

Ellie finally got to start a dance class after a couple of years of begging to go! She does tap and ballet and loves every second of it and can't wait for dance day. She is so cute out there doing her little dances with all the little 4 year old girls. She is and has always been my little dancing queen, whenever she hears music she immediately has to get up and start dancing. She is so stinkin cute!

My baby is One!

On September 4th my sweet little miracle baby turned 1! I can hardly believe that it was already a year ago that I was laying in the hospital bed, terrified to have her and find out just how bad her cleft was going to be. I often forget how blessed I was that she is perfect and only because our Heavenly Father does listen and answer prayers. She is such a beautiful and sweet baby and we are so lucky and blessed she chose to come live with our family. Happy Birthday sweet baby Ayzie!

First day of First Grade!

I cannot believe I have a kid old enough to be in first grade! Time flies when you are stressed out all the time! :) Seriously though, it was a little bittersweet for me. I was so excited for Cole to start first grade, then on the first day of school when I took him to his class it was kind of hard to leave him there all day! It's just hard to think of him having to have lunch at school where I'm not there to help him open his juice or bag of chips, and when he gets home he is so tired. I'm sure we will all get used to it with time. Cole loves 1st grade and he loves his teacher Mrs. Anderson. I do have to say it is sort of nice not having Cole and Ellie fight all day, but I do miss my Cole boy while he is gone to school.

...well, two reunions with one stone anyway. This summer I had 3 family reunions all the same weekend and all on the Kaibab mountain. Needless to say, we only made it to 2. We stayed with my moms side of the family (the Hunt's) and just visited my dads side of the family (the Judd's). It was a lot of fun and we had a great weekend! Until the end of the trip that is, when on the way home I realized I had lost my wallet somewhere on the mountain so I had to cancel all my cards and get a new drivers license only to find out a week later I had left it in my moms camp trailer! Oh ya, Carson's trucks motor also decided to start making horrible noises on the way home. We made it home thankfully, but we no longer have a truck until we replace the motor (ya, that's only going to cost us $1800, if Carson does it himself!!!) Oh the luck!
Anyway, we had fun and the kids didn't want to come home.

Swim Lessons

Cole and Ellie did really good in swim lessons this year. Cole is an amazing swimmer for only being 6. He can definitely out swim me! I would love to put him on a swim team, but with his social anxiety there is no way he would compete. His teachers where amazed that he was only 6, they said he had an amazing front stroke.
Ellie on the other hand loves to swim and loves the water but absolutely refuses to put her head in! She had to take level one all over again this year because of it, and they told me she is ready to go onto the next level next year if she will put her head in the water. She finally had a breakthrough toward the end of the lessons and would put her face in the water but only if she pinched her eyes shut! It was the funniest thing! She would not wear goggles, so pinching her eyes shut was the next best thing I guess! What cute and funny kids.

4th of July & Birthday Parties

We went to Fredonia for the 4th again this year. One of the reasons we usually go is because Carson's family (the Honey family) always has a big birthday party for his Great Grandma Violet. This year she turned 104! Can you imagine? She is such a sweet lady and loves her family very much.

Ellie turned 4! She thinks she is so big now, I overheard her talking to Cole and saying, "I'm so glad I'm 4 now, I was so done being 3!" It was so funny! She invited her cousins and also got to invite a few of her girlfriends this year. She had so much fun!

Cole's Surgery

One week ago today our poor Cole boy had to have his tonsils, adenoids, and 2 lymph nodes from his neck removed. We tried to prepare him as best we could but with Cole you never know what to expect. Well, as soon as he got up that morning he started crying and Carson had to pull him out of the car when we got to the hospital. He finally started to calm down until they wanted him to put on a hospital gown and put the pulse and blood pressure cuff on him then it was all down hill. They finally brought in the versed and Carson plugged Cole's nose while I gave it to him and then he started feeling better, he was drunk boy. Everything went really good and we are just waiting for the biopsy report on the lymph nodes, but we think they will come back fine. He still has a pretty bad sore throat and is super whiny but in all he is doing really well. He has a little incision on his neck from the lymph nodes and the stitches are starting to itch so I hear more whining about that than from the tonsils. Poor kid, he did so good and he has been such a brave and good boy about the whole thing. When we got him home he told me his favorite part was the ride in the wheelchair out to the car.... I didn't know anyone had a favorite part about surgery :)

Snow Canyon

We went for a hike in Snow Canyon before Cole was laid up for a couple of weeks with his surgery. We went with Carson's mom and step dad, and also his brother his wife and their 3 kids. It was fun just hanging out for the day.

A trip to SLC

The weekend that school got out we decided to get out of town for a couple of days and take the kids to do some fun things. We went to Salt Lake and went to the Hogle Zoo, the Living Planet Aquarium, and also Discovery Gateway with our friends Troy and Wendi and there two kids Trey and Aubrie. It was so much fun and the kids didn't want to come home. Here is a little look at what we did....

Graduation 2009

I can't believe Cole is done with kindergarten and on to first grade! This year just flew by. He did such a good job at his graduation. He walked out with his class, looked at me and smiled and waved and then went and sat down. I was in shock! He then proceeded to sing every song and do exactly what he was so supposed to do. He even stood up when they called his name to get his certificate! There were no tears or refusing to be up there, I was so proud of him and how far he has come! It made me want to cry just seeing him participate. What a big boy he is.

Camping Trip

I had my first camping trip with Ayzie (while not being pregnant). It was a lot of fun but let me just say, sleeping in a tent in the same sleeping bag with a baby who refuses to take a binky is just not fun! I was pretty much awake for two nights in a row feeding Ayz because the only thing that would make her go back to sleep was her bottle! Besides the night time drama it was fun getting out of town and away from everything. The kids love to camp and I'm sure as soon as Ayzie can walk she will too.

Fishing

This year Cole really wanted to do fishing lessons so we signed him up. He has never had more fun I swear! He looked forward to those lessons every week. He did really well too. One day he caught 8 fish! It was just really fun watching him do something that he actually enjoyed and we didn't have to force him to do it.

After his fishing lessons were over they had a fishing derby. Cole had just got home from the doctor with having strep throat but he was not about to miss the fishing derby so off we went! There were so many kids that it was hard to catch a fish but finally at the very end just before they blew the whistle he caught one! What a proud boy he was! He won some fishing hooks and bobs, and a few other things. Cole can't wait to do fishing lessons again next year!

My cute Cole Boy turned 6 on March 26th! I can't believe how fast time has gone by. He wanted a cowboy birthday party (because he is going to be a cowboy when he grows up and he is going to have 10 horses and he already knows some of their names! :) We just invited family this year so it was cousins and aunts & uncles and grandmas. It was a lot of fun, and after wards we went swimming at the Washington City Rec. center. Cole loved every minute of his party this year. He is growing up so fast and he is such a sweet and caring boy. He always says to me, "hello beautiful mom!" He is such a big help with the baby, but not always with Ellie, he is only six what do I expect right!? Happy Birthday Cole! We love you!

Same Day Surgery

So, ever since Ayzie was born she has had problems with reflux and constipation. She has never been able to eat more than 4 ounces in about an hours time, so slow!!! She has been really bad lately about puking all the time, I feel like most of her bottle comes up (an hour of feeding for nothing!) She also had bloody poop (sorry, a lot of gross info) a couple of times, so my doctor sent her to Dr. Kaddu, that is a pediatric gastroenterologist. Anyway, she had an upper GI done where she had to drink a dye and as she was drinking it they took x-rays of it going down from different angles and positions. What they found wasn't even what they were looking for. Besides the fact that she has bad reflux which we already knew, she also had a stricture in her esophagus. It's like a little shelf thing that pokes out into her esophagus that she was born with and it causes her to eat very slowly and as she eats more solid foods she will have a really hard time eating. So the doctor gave me the picture of the stricture in her esophagus and sure enough there it was. The next step was to put her under :( I have had to put all three of my babies under and it is a horrible feeling!) and do an endoscopy where they go down her esophagus with a scope and try to spread open the stricture. So, we went in bright and early on Feb. 25 to have the procedure done. When the doctor came out to talk to us after it was all done guess what, it was no longer freaking there! What is with this girl!!! He said he doesn't know what to say but we must of been praying hard for her! He also took three biopsies of her esophagus, stomach, and small intestine. I was kind of mad that there was nothing there because that meant we couldn't just take care of the problem then and there. Now we just have to wait and see what happens when she starts eating chunkier foods because it could be something else that I don't need to go into now because I'm praying we won't have to worry about that. The biopsy report came back that she had reflux, and also her small intestine was a little inflamed and she had these allergy protein things in her stomach which means she probably has a milk protein allergy, which is something Cole had also, but it wasn't such a big deal being on the expensive formula because we had wic with him and now we don't, so Ayzie's formula is going to cost us somewhere around an extra $200 a month more than what we have been paying. Also Dr. Kaddu doubled her dose of prilosec so that cost goes up too! Oh the joys of having kids!! She is doing pretty good as of now besides all the vomiting so now it's just a waiting game! Considering what we were supposed to be going through with all the surgeries from the cleft this is nothing, I just have to remember that!

Road Trip!!!

Carson, Ayzie and I decided to drive across the United States! It was long but we had fun. Carson's Aunt Shelly and Uncle Bill live in Wilmington North Carolina, and Carson's mom bought a car from them, so Carson decided that he wanted to drive it home across the US and he wanted me to go with him. Sam and Brandi kept Cole and Ellie for us and his mom took them for a couple of days too (Thank you guys for keeping my kids safe and happy while we were gone!) I had only one day to prepare and pack so I only got an hour and a half of sleep before we had to leave to catch our flight, and of course you can't sleep on an airplane. It took us 9 hours to fly from St. George to Wilmington NC and 4 days to drive back home! We stayed at Carson's Aunt and Uncles house, and they were so sweet. Aunt Shelly had made us a wonderful dinner when we got there and Uncle Bill took us for a quick tour of downtown Wilmington. It was so cool to see all the old colonial style houses and extremely old churches. We also saw the Cape Fear River which had this old battleship. I had never seen a battleship in person and it was huge! I was so mad that my camera was in the trunk of the car. The next morning they took us to the Atlantic Ocean and to a restaurant overlooking the ocean called the Oceanic. We walked out on the Pier but only for a picture because the wind was blowing like crazy on the beach. Then it was time to hit the road for our long ride home. I was so sad to leave already, it was so different there with tons of trees everywhere so you couldn't even see the city. I really wanted to stay for another day just to look around but we had our kids to get home to.
We went through 12 states in 4 days and drove almost 2400 miles. The states we went through were North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and the back into Utah. We saw some very cool and very interesting things along the way. There were so many rivers that were enormous, nothing like the Virgin River! :) We got to cross over the Mississippi River but we could not find a place to stop so that we could really see it so our pictures are just from out the window of the car. We saw the world's biggest cross! (that was one of the interesting things!) We also saw the Talladega Speedway, (we didn't see Ricky Bobby but we saw his smokin hot wife! :) that was Carson's little input! I seriously have never seen anything so huge, it was neat to see. The sad part was that we never stopped one time to get out of the car and take a picture until we were almost home going over the Colorado River that Carson and I have been over a million times. I guess we were just in such a hurry to get home that we would just pass everything up, so all of our pictures are out of the window. Lame I know! Ayzie did amazing and she honestly only cried one time and we were almost to our hotel room. So 4 days and 2400 miles later we made it home and we were so happy to see our kids and sleep in our own beds.
It was so much fun but extremely long.... Carson is already planning a trip back for 2010 with all 3 kids!! Crazy I know, especially if we end up driving!

We loaded up and went out in the freezing cold and took the kids sledding. We went to the Coral Pink Sandunes and there was a ton of snow! It was so cold that I gave the kids a fruit roll up and as soon as they opened them they froze and started breaking into pieces! It was crazy! The kids had a lot of fun and I just stayed around the fire. Carson was insane and never put a coat on. Ayzie woke up really sick that morning with a croupy cough and later I would find out also an ear infection but the good news was she slept in the truck the entire time we were there, she didn't wake up once, so at least I didn't have to worry about her out in the freezing cold. It turned out to be a pretty fun day.

The kids loved it when it snowed here. It actually snowed quite a bit, so the next morning we went out and built a snowman. We didn't have a hat, a carrot, or limbs for arms but he turned out cute anyway.

Ayzie's Blessing Day

Carson blessed Ayzie on November 30th. It was a very nice blessing and he did a good job even though he was a bit nervous. I am so proud of him that he is able to bless our babies, it is such a wonderful thing. We had a lot of family come which is always nice to have the support. My dad even came and he has never been to one of my babies blessings so it really meant a lot. My mom made Ayz's beautiful dress and my sister Leah made her cute little headband. She looked like an absolute doll!

We stayed home and trick or treated at our townhomes this year. We all dressed up even Carson and the kids loved it that their daddy dressed up too! There wasn't very many people handing out candy this year, I think because of the trunk or treats, so they didn't get a ton of candy this year which is really good. The kids had a lot of fun.
Cole was a cowboy, Ellie was Belle, Ayzie was a cat, I was a witch, and Carson was a UFC fighter.

Carving Pumpkins

Every year the kids get to paint little pumpkins a couple of weeks before Halloween. It works out good because it holds them off a little bit longer from carving the big pumpkins. This year they talked us into carving the pumpkins 1 week before Halloween so every night I had to put them in our sink to keep them from rotting. I told them next year we will only do it a couple of days before Halloween. Ellie wanted just a plain jack-o-lantern face and Cole picked out a pirate ship.
Of course Carson and I did all the work but the kids loved them in the end.

We went to Staheli Farms with the Lunt family. We rode on a tractor out to the pumpkin patch where we picked out a couple of pumpkins, then we came back and the kids got to pet all the animals and play the different games that they had. Cole's favorite part was roping the cows! (he is going to be a cowboy when he grows up!!! :) They also got to ride the little cow train. I thought they would be so scared but they loved every minute of it! It was so much fun. We love to do things with the Lunt's, they are always so much fun! Thanks for inviting us guys!!

First Lost Tooth

Cole lost his first tooth! I can't believe he is that big! He was so excited that he had a loose tooth and could not wait for it to fall out! The night the tooth fairy came he insisted on leaving her some money for bringing him money. I couldn't talk him out of it, so he put 70 cents under his pillow and the tooth fairy brought him a dollar. Now the tooth right next to the missing one is really loose. He looks so cute with his little black hole in his mouth. I love you my big boy Cole!

Ellie starts preschool

Life has been a little crazy lately so I'm a little late posting this but I had to do it for my Ellie Belly. Ellie started preschool (the day I went into labor). She loves, loves, loves it. It is so funny because I'm not used to a kid actually wanting and begging to go to school, it's so weird for me! She has the same preschool teacher that Cole did and Ellie loves Ms. Amber. I can't believe she is already 3 (going on 16!) You are such a big girl Ellie and I love you princess!

Our Miracle Baby!

She's here! Ayzie Lynn Honey was born Sept 4, 2008 at 4:08 in the morning!(It was a long night!) She weighed 6lbs 12oz and was 18in long. It was the most amazing experience of my life! I went into the doctor sept 3rd for my appt and was dilated almost to a six, so he striped my membranes and we left, that was about 5:30 pm. We went out to dinner and by 7:45 pm I was having contractions. I actually went into labor on my own! We got to the hospital about 10:00pm and I had her at 4 in the morning. My longest labor yet! I was so scared to have her because of everything I knew we would be facing, and I was about to see how severe the cleft was. When it was time I started crying but new that I had no choice and couldn't turn back now. When she came out Dr. Lunt was just looking at her and he put his finger in her mouth, then looked at me and said, "there is nothing wrong with this baby!" I didn't believe him until he held her up for me, and then I saw that she didn't have a cleft, she was perfect! I started sobbing, Carson was crying, it was an emotional delivery room. Everyone was crying including all the nurses! For the rest of the time I was in the hospital everyone kept calling her the "miracle baby". That is exactly what she is, a miracle baby! The doctors were all stunned and couldn't explain it. Some people have asked me if I'm mad at the doctors for putting me through all of this, and I say there is no reason to be mad at them because it was there, there was a cleft. Carson & I saw it at all of our ultrasounds, and so did the Perinatologist and the ultrasound technicians! At all of my ultrasounds it was there every time. I now know the power of prayer and blessings. I feel like it was Heavenly Father's way of saying I'm really here and if you just have faith in me, anything is possible! It has been the most amazing experience of our lives!

Cole and Ellie adore her, and never stop looking, touching and holding her! I'm so glad that they love her and I don't have to worry about anyone being mean, but to be honest they are driving me crazy!! I'm constantly saying stop touching her, get out of her face! I'm sure everyone knows exactly what I'm talking about. Hopefully once the newness wears off it will be better, until then I just constantly have to have an eye on them at all times.

I can't believe we're a family of 5! I feel so blessed to have 3 beautiful kids!

Toquerville Falls

Last weekend we decided to take the kids swimming (wading) at Touquerville falls. They had a lot of fun playing in the water, catching frogs, and watching crazy people do cliff diving into shallow water! We had a good time but I am really surprised I didn't go into labor from the horrible bumpy road. If that road didn't put me in labor I don't think anything will!

Baby Shower

My sweet friends Dorothy & Stacey decided to give me a baby shower. It was actually a breakfast, wear your comfies shower. It was a lot of fun! We had waffles, played some games, and visited. Thank you to all my friends and family that came, it really means a lot to me. Thank you so much Stacey and Dorothy for everything. I couldn't ask for better friends!

Carson finally got his Journeyman license! After 4 years of school and 1 year of taking tests he finally got his licence in the mail! He has worked for so long and so hard to get there and he made it. I am so proud of him and everything he does to support our family!

Cole is in Kindergarten!

Cole started kindergarten this year! I can't believe he is that big! He loves school and he loves his teacher Mrs. Kaeding. The first day he was supposed to ride the bus he had a total melt down at the bus stop and refused to get on, so I loaded him and Ellie into the car and drove him to school. I told him that he had to ride the bus home otherwise he would be stuck at school and he acted totally okay with it. When it was time to go out and meet the bus in front of our house I got a call saying that Cole wouldn't get on the bus and that he was in the school office. I was so mad, but again Ellie and I went and picked him up! Doesn't that sound like a total Cole thing to do!? I was so thankful that the second day he decided to try and ride the bus and he actually loved it. Now he looks forward to riding the bus everyday.

Camping at Panguitch Lake

Over the 24th of July we went camping with Carson's brothers and Mom. We went to Panguitch Lake where it was nice and cool. It rained on us every afternoon which kept it cooled off for us but it was never muddy. It was a lot of fun, and as you can see from the slide show we went shooting, fishing, and riding four wheelers.
Oh yeah I almost forgot, Carson and his brothers got to fix the fuel pump in our truck while we were out there too! As soon as we pulled into our camping spot the fuel pump went out and the truck wouldn't start. Thankfully Carlene and Don hadn't made it up yet so they stopped and got a fuel pump. Carson spent the next half a day putting it in. What a vacation! At least it wasn't 110 degree weather!

Pregnant Together (again!!!!)

My sister Leah and I were pregnant together again! This is our third time being pregnant at the same time. This time we just happen to only be 4 weeks apart on our due dates. Our first babies were boys, our second babies were girls, and this time we are both having girls again! What are the odds!?! It is actually really fun having our babies together and our kids are the best of friends.

On July 24, Leah had her baby. Her name is McKayle Lynn Robinson. She is so sweet and cute. She was so little when she was born only weighing 5lbs 12oz. She was just as big as Ellie was when she was born. She is now 1 month old, so I guess that means it is my turn to have a baby. Anytime now!

Swimming Lessons 2008

Cole and Ellie both got to do swimming lessons this year. Cole usually freaks out about them and so I was terrified of him being the same way this year and then scarring Ellie and her not wanting to do them either. But guess what! He did so, so, so good! I was so proud of him. He just got right in every day and did just what his teacher told him to do (even if I was watching!). Ellie did really good too. Everyday she would go with her teacher, and she loved every minute of it. Here are a few pictures of swimming lessons this year.

This year for the 4th of July we went to Fredonia and Kanab and spent it with my family. That morning we went to the parade and the kids got a ton of candy! After that we went and played at the park where the kids got their water weenies. Afterwards we went swimming at the local pool and then we had a BBQ at Carson's Aunts and Uncles house. Then we were off to the park to light of some sparklers and watch the fireworks. It was a tiring but fun day.

The next day we went to Carson's Grandma Violet's 103 birthday party! She is such a sweet and caring person. For Christmas last year she made every girl in the family a crocheted scarf. She is an amazing person and she has accomplished a lot in her life. Here is a big family picture with everyone that was at the party.

Hunt Family Reunion

The end of June we had our annual Hunt family reunion. It was on the Kaibab this year (by the Grand Canyon). It's always so much fun seeing all of my family. I have 11 sets of aunts and uncles on that side, and I'm not sure how many first cousins. I think it's somewhere in the 50's. There are a lot of us so this is usually our only chance during the year to catch up with each other. The kids loved every minute of camping and riding four wheelers. Carson and I celebrated our 8th anniversary on June 24th. I can't believe it has been that long! We wanted to go away somewhere and spend the weekend, but money is an issue as always so we just went to dinner and a movie. I am so lucky to have Carson for my husband. He is the best daddy and husband in the world. He is always so sweet and considerate and just wants to make me happy. I am so glad that I married him 8 years ago and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him.

Ellie's 3rd birthday was June 21. She thinks she is so big now that she is three! For her party we had her Grandmas, Aunts and Uncles, and Cousins come over for a BBQ. Then we played some games and she got to open up her presents. She got a box of dress ups that she loves! I can't believe what a girly girl she is turning out to be. She had to have a princess party with all the princess' not just one. I keep thinking she is only 3 and already so obsessed! After wards we had cake and ice cream and then we all went swimming, Ellie's favorite thing to do. I can't believe how big she is getting. She definitely is our little princess and we are having so much fun watching her grow up and change every day! I wouldn't change her sassy little attitude for the world! HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY ELLIE!

Catching Crawdads

The Honey clan decided to go crawdad catching a couple of weekends ago and the kids had so much fun. We caught 76 of them and the plan was to have a shrimp boil the next night and eat them. Well, by the next afternoon 55 were dead so we only had 21 to cook. I refused to eat them but I heard they taste like lobster (something I'll never know). Everyone had a really good time hanging out and catching crawdads for the day.

Here is another 3D picture of our baby. The doctor was making another attempt to see how severe the cleft is but of course she has her arm up covering right where it is. The good news is that we know it doesn't go to the other side of her lip! I didn't think we could really tell who she looked like until Cole was looking at the picture and oh my gosh she looks just like him! Her eyes, nose and chin all look like Cole's! It's amazing to know what your baby looks like before she is even born! I think her eyes are open in this picture. Isn't she cute!!!

So, I got a call from the perinatologist with my amniocentesis results. They said that the baby's chromosomes are all normal! It was such a relief to hear. That means that all we will be dealing with after the baby is born is the cleft. They went on to say that the baby is a healthy developed female! I replied with, "Oh! I'm having a girl?" I think they got the hint that we had no clue what we were having. I'm kind of upset that I found out what my baby was over the phone, and not by choice with my husband there during an ultrasound. Oh well, now I can get things prepared before the baby gets here. The kids are really excited to have a sister. Ellie knew all along that the baby was a girl, she would never say it was a boy. I think we all had a feeling it was girl too. I'm just so relieved that her chromosomes are normal, and we are going to have a healthy, beautiful little girl to make our family complete!

Cole's Preschool Graduation

Cole was.....well Cole for his preschool graduation this year, as usual. As you can see from the pictures his whole class was up front and doing their performance but not Cole. He had to sit on his teacher's lap the entire time. At least he didn't cry this time! The class came walking out and lining up and I realized there was no Cole! I informed his teacher who ran out and found him and brought him back. Such a Cole thing to do. He hates having the attention on him but he doesn't realize that by not participating he brings more attention to himself. I just hope high school graduation will be better!! lol! I can't believe he is done with preschool and is going to be a kindergartner! Where does time go?

We had an appt. with the Perinatoligist today who confirmed that our baby does have a cleft lip. It has been really hard for me to digest the news because I didn't think anything would really be wrong with my baby. I feel so lucky to have such supportive family and friends though. Everyone has been so sweet and supportive and I don't know what I would do without any of you, Thank You!

I also had an amniocentesis done to make sure the babies chromosomes are not affected. The heart is also of concern when there is a cleft lip but for now the heart looks really good. We are hopeful that everything else will come back fine and we will only have to worry about the lip. I'm not sure how much longer we will not know what we are having because of the problems. I have to have another ultrasound in 4 wks and with the amnio it will be hard to not know. But now knowing the sex of the baby is the least of our worries. It was fun not knowing while it was a perfect pregnancy but it might be helpful to know now, so that we can get things prepared before the baby is born. We will be to involved with the baby and the surgeries after it is born to worry about what color of clothes we need to wash. I will keep all of you updated as we get new info.

The second picture reminds me of a mask but it is of the baby yawning. You can kind of see a black line that goes up to the nose and I believe (but am not positive) that that is the cleft lip.

No matter what problems we face we think we have a cute baby, and can't wait to have it in our arms to take care of.
